About

Click to Read ArticleIn the spring of 2015, a group of like-minded school and parish mothers met at a coffee shop to brainstorm an event that would help accomplish two goals:

  • To provide families an opportunity to do service work together in the community.
  • To create an event that would bring church and school families together, and hopefully become a catalyst for a stronger bond between church and school.

This committee wanted to create an event that would take on a life of its own and become easily recognizable and highly desirable. The name and tagline were very intentional. We wanted it to both draw people in AND explain what the event was about – serving the community AS a community! We went on a marketing and branding blitz and held the first event in the fall of 2015, and the church and school responded enthusiastically! Every year, the event grew in size and scope, and on its 5th anniversary in 2019, more than 500 people from Our Lady of Lourdes Church and School fanned out across the community to be the hands and feet of God.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 brought a hiatus to the event for a few years, but in 2023, the beloved service event returned with even more opportunities to Go.Share.Love. Our community truly embraces the opportunity to come together in fellowship and do the Lord’s work.
